WHERE TO SEND SUBMISSIONS, GUIDELINES, COPYRIGHT CONSIDERATIONS
Send all submissions to: poetryoldman@hotmail.com
Include a brief bio of yourself-50 words or less,
especially any previous publication credits and contact info.
We only accept e-mail or electronic submissions.
Don't send attachments less they are asked for. No snail mail-it will be ignored.
Send no more than 4 poems, it you aggravate us, we will delete them.
The word "Submission" must be in the Subject line. Editor retains the right to make a few comments about each selected poem, if you are selected, you chances of it being positive are good.
As a general rule we require "one time rights" (meaning we plan to publish and use a poem "one time"). We also allow all rights to revert back to the writer upon publication of our issues, which means the writer can have his work back and do with it as he wishes. If you need to remove a work for any reason, email us. Simultaneous submissions are ok, if you tell us, and give credit to the publisher (s).
In the beginning we will select works and post them as quality provides them-and notify the authors when they are accepted.

The Lost American: From Exile to Freedom is about one man’s journey into exile over the Vietnam War many years ago, his struggle, his survival, his road to recovery and strength manifesting itself through his prose and poems. Many of the poems have been revised and evolved after returning to the United States. Many are new and reflect life after exile. The old poems came off yellowed edged papers, and wrinkled napkins. His imagery is stunning. Mr. Michael Lee Johnson lives with his best friend, Nikki, the cat, and is content to be living in a small suburb of Chicago. This is a raising star in poetry in the state of Illinois.
Michael Lee Johnson is a freelance writer and poet, who created over 365 poems published in over 135 journals and online publications to date. BEHIND THE SCENES: WHAT I ENCOURAGE!
We encourage both young and old writers. Michael Lee Johnson literally dragged his poems around on his back for 10 year in exile, often without a home. After 35 years his poetry is now hitting the poetry market place and he is 60 years old. We especially encourage American and Canadian works, since these geographic areas represent our homelands. Other works, in English will be review with care. We all need to leave some type of "LEGACY" behind our life journey, no matter how small, long or short that journey is. This journey is a journal about the distance we travel, and the works we leave behind.
